Seafair Scholarship Program for Women

Encouraging young women to reach personal and professional goals through skills development, leadership opportunities and community engagement.

The Seafair Scholarship Program for Women is an amazing experience for young women seeking academic scholarships and opportunities for leadership and professional development. The program showcases each participant’s academic achievement, public speaking skills and community service. With a mission to promote philanthropy, diversity and community involvement, participants represent Seafair at various community events and special appearances.

Seafair Ambassadors Program

Developing a passion for building international relationships through cultural exchange.
The Seafair Foundation annually invites local area high school sophomores and juniors to apply for one of ten Seafair Ambassador positions. Students are selected from an application essay on community involvement and personal interviews with members of the Seafair Board of Directors. Selected students represent Seafair throughout the year through a variety of unique community participation opportunities. Each student is assigned a mentor from the local business and/or civic community, has the opportunity to host an international student from Seattle’s sister city, Kobe, Japan for a week and is awarded an exchange trip to Kobe where they get a chance to fully immerse themselves in another culture.

Boeing Seafair Community Events

Showcasing the diversity, personality and culture of the Puget Sound Region.
Seafair believes in celebrating the traditions of our region, resources and residents. We are proud to support 32 local parades/festivals representing ethnic, geographic and/or subject matter interests across the region. Events are chosen through an application process. Seafair offers program participants numerous resources including support, training and information through symposiums, webinars and resource documents. In addition, Seafair heavily promotes these events giving them an increased level of exposure.

76 Seafair Holiday Cruise

A maritime holiday gift for the intellectually disabled community.
This event takes place on the waters of Lakes Union and Washington as independent boaters and charter operators volunteer their boats, crews and time to host over 1500 intellectually disabled guests on a very special holiday parade of boats. The boats are decked out in lights and holiday cheer at various docks and yacht clubs. Once aboard, guests are treated to food and beverages and enjoy entertainment, gifts and a visit with Old St. Nick!
