Adult Training Program
Rusty Pruden Endurance (RPE)'s online training program is designed for the beginner or intermediate triathlete. This is a great program for athletes training for either the Sprint or Olympic distance courses. For athletes looking for professional feedback from a coach, Bronze level monthly coaching is also available. With this option, coaches will help the athlete better customize their program, guiding them through training ideas, heart rate, pace and power. RPE will also offer free open water swim clinics every Sunday May 12* - June 16th 9 a.m. - 10 a.m. at Beaver Lake in Issaquah (May 12, 19 and June 2, 9 and 16).
*The first swim workshop on Sunday May 12 will be at 8 a.m. due to Mother's Day.
Training Program Costs:
RPE Online Training Program - $30 (one-time fee; program will be emailed to the athlete)
Bronze Level Monthly Coaching - $59 + tax per month (RPE will waive the $199 set-up fee)
Open Water Swim Clinics - Free with Triathlon registration
SeaKids Training Program
Rusty Pruden Endurance and Blue Fire Fitness have partnered to coach, support and produce SeaKids, a triathlon training program for kids ages 6 - 13. Kids will meet with coaches once a week, with group activities and engaging sport specific games. Every other week will be with one coach in Snohomish or King County, and the other weeks the kids will meet in a large group in Seattle. Group sessions will be held on Saturdays through June 15th and on Wednesdays from June 19th - July 17th. Each clinic will include two hours of triathlon training. The course will teach each student proper technique for success in the open water an don the bike, teaching students how to overcome anxiety, handle corners, shift and other tactics. In addition, transition practice will be incorporated during each of these clinics.
Seward Park Seattle:
10 a.m. - Noon (May 4th, 18th, June 1st, 15th)
2 p.m. - 4 p.m. (June 26th, July 10th)
Lake Tye Monroe:
10 a.m. - Noon (May 11th, 25th, June 8th)
2 p.m. - 4 p.m. (June 19th, July 3rd, 17th)

About Rusty Pruden Endurance
Rusty Pruden participated in his first triathlon in 2007, and it changed his life. What started as a casual personal challenge ended up leading Pruden to a passion he decided to turn into a career. He founded Rusty Pruden Endurance Coaching in 2010 and began to share his knowledge as a USAT Level 1 Triathlon Coach and elite triathlete. Pruden is currently working toward his dream of representing the United States at the 2016 Olympics.
About Blue Fire Fitness
Blue Fire Fitness was started in 2009 when Mary Gandee, owner of Blue Fire Fitness, became a USAT Level 1 Triathlon Coach. Since then she has coached ages 5 - 66, from kids distance races to Ironman competitions. The name, Blue Fire, comes from Gandee's past career as a police officer (the blue) and her husband's career as a firefighter (the fire). She has two kids who also have caught the triathlon bug. Gandee and her family enjoy experiencing triathlon together and sharing their passion for fitness with people around them.
