Seafair Special Correspondent & Blogger

      

Seafair welcomes Will Schimmelman as our special correspondent this season! Will is 8 years old and just completed second grade. Will's dad, Steve, has been a Seafair volunteer for many years and is an official festival photographer. This year Will is joining his father as an assistant and will be chronicling the festival through photography, giving readers a view from the next generation.

Favorite Color: Orange.

Favorite Music: Rock.

Heros: Fredy Montero, Ichiro Suzuki, Felix Hernandez and my Dad.

Favorite Pokemon: Turtwig, Pikachu, Emboar then Typhlosion.

Favorite Fish to Catch: Small mouth Bass.

Achievements: 
  • Cub Scout with Magnolia Pack 80, Bear Cub with arrow points. Pack 80 Pinewood Derby winner and moved on to the Divisionals with his Hydro inspired "Blue Flare" car.
  • Magnolia Art Show runner up at age 7 for his "My Umbrella" water color painting.
Little League Team Nickname: "The Microwave" for his high energy level and red hair.
At 10 months of age, Will won the Annual Baby Crawling Contest at the Magnolia Seafair Summerfest and his Scottish Grandpa Teddy called him "The Champ!".
