WINTER INTERNS/SUMMER SEASONALS
Sales & Sponsorship Seasonal
Focus: Sponsorship & Promotions
Reports To: Director of Sales & Marketing
Openings: One (1)
Duration: February - May: Part-time, 20 hours a week (internship phase), June - August: Full-time, 40+ hours a week (seasonal phase)
Compensation:The internship phase is non-paid. The seasonal phase is paid at $1,500 per month (for 3 months - June, July & August). This position concludes on Friday, August 30.
Responsibilities:
• Assist with sponsorship research, lead tracking and proposal writing
• Coordinate VIP Hospitality Programs including ticket sales, catering, venue lay-out and volunteer management
• Support with sponsor implementation and/or activation
• Assist with account management at all Seafair events: Signage placement, event set-up, client interaction and VIP experiences
• Assist with corporate hospitality program implementation and operations including ticketing, parking, signage and on-site trouble shooting
• Track marketing and operational obligations in Sponsor agreements
• Recap client investments for internal use
• Internet Research on sponsor leads
• Other office and event duties as assigned
Qualifications:
• Excellent communications skills
• Strong writing skills
• Access to transportation
• Must be a college junior or senior in standing
• Comfortable in fast paced environment, ability to multi-task
• Must perform in a professional manner at all times, maintaining a positive attitude and able to represent the organization both internally and externally
• Must display strong leadership skills, be goal oriented, detail oriented and possess excellent customer service skills
• Ability to work with all types of staff utilizing voice mail, email, computers, fax machines, copiers and proper use of memos and other office communications
• Ability to work at all Seafair events (weekends during the summer and through August 31).
Marketing & Communications Seasonal

• Viral marketing coordination and support, including: website, e-mail newsletter, social networking tools such as Facebook, Twitter and You Tube.
• Media correspondence including building press kits, drafting press releases, credentials.
• Writing content – for publications, viral marketing, scripts, press releases, etc. This includes conducting interview, writing articles/stories and copy for various marketing tools.
• Publicity and promotions
• Community relations and support including managing Seafair booths, grassroots outreach, etc.
• Special event/production management
• Customer Service – managing surveys, feedback, etc.
• Other office and event duties as assigned
