Registration Information

Registration Fee:  $35 (Day Of). 

Online registration is closed. Registration will be open from 4 p.m. - 6 p.m. day of.

*You must register in advance (before Thursday, July 26 at 11:59 p.m.) to be guaranteed an official 2012 Torchlight Run Brooks Technical Tee! 


Route Details

5k: The race starts at the Seattle Center ( 2nd Avenue and Thomas), South on 2nd Avenue to Denny Way, East on Denny Way to 4th Avenue, continuing South on 4th Avenue along the Alaska Airlines Seafair Torchlight Parade Route, Right onto Seneca Street and North onto the Alaskan Way Viaduct for scenic views of Elliot Bay, the city skyline and the beautiful Olympic Mountains, take the Western Street Exit, turn Right onto Broad Street from Western, turn Left on 2nd Avenue and race up the Seafair Torchlight ULTRA hill to earn your beverage and finish at the Seattle Center


8k: The race starts at the Seattle Center (2nd Avenue and Thomas), South on 2nd Avenue to Denny Way, East on Denny Way to 4th Avenue, continuing South on 4th Avenue along the Alaska Airlines Seafair Torchlight Parade Route, Right on Washington Street to 1st Avenue in Pioneer Square, Left on 1st Avenue to Royal Brougham near the Stadiums. U-turn onto the Upper Level of the viaduct for scenic views of Elliot Bay, the city skyline and the beautiful Olympic Mountains, take the Western Street Exit, Turn Right onto Broad Street from Western, Turn left on 2nd Avenue and race up the Seafair Torchlight ULTRA hill to earn your beverage, and finish at Seattle Center. Route Map

10 p.m. - Post Race Party/Beer Gardens Close


Pirate & Clown Costume Contest

Don't forget to dress up for our PIRATE & CLOWN COSTUME CONTEST! Prizes will be awarded for the top 3 adult participants and the top 3 children participants (13 and under).


Wheeled Devices Policy

Wheelchair Participants: Participants using wheelchairs must wear helmets and equip their three-wheel style wheelchair with dual handbrakes and a bicycle flag.

Baby Strollers/Wheeled Devices:  In accordance with insurance regulations, we are unable to permit wheeled devices such as in-line skates, bicycles, baby strollers or joggers on the route. All entrants should carefully read the disclaimer before entering.


Gear Check

Participants have the option of leaving their belongings at the PORTABOX gear check located near the registration area in the south parking lot. 


Age Categories

8K: Competition will be held in the following age groups for men’s and women’s divisions: 14 & under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 & over. The top three finishers for men's and women's division for each age group will receive certificates in the mail.

5K: The top three finishers for men's and women's divisions in the following age groups will receive certificates in the mail - 19 and Under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 & over.

Rogue Sports is the official timing company of the Michelob ULTRA Seafair Torchlight Run. 


Post Race Bash

Join Seafair at the Post-Race Party! Enjoy entertainment and free food. Must be 21 or over to access the beer garden serving Michelob ULTRA and other beverages. 


Awards

The fastest male and female in the 8K will each receive a Trek Bicycle provided by Michelob ULTRA. The second place male and female will each receive a Garmin Forerunner 110 GPS- enabled Sport Watch. The fastest male and female in the 5K will each receive a pair of Brooks Running Shoes. The second place male and female will each receive a Michelob ULTRA prize pack. The adult winner of the costume contest will receive a pair of Brooks Running Shoes, second place two tickets to Washington Stealth Lacrosse and third place a Brooks hat and Michelob ULTRA swag bag. The kid's category winner of the costume contest will receive two tickets to Washington Stealth Lacrosse, second place will receive four tickets to the Museum of Flight and third place two tickets to Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium. Only registered entrants are eligible for awards and prizes. Receive your award after the race at the awards ceremony. If you are not present, awards will be mailed.
