Triathlon Results

Nearly 1,800 articipants took part in the 12th Annual Benaroya Research Institute Seafair Triathlon through scenic Seward Park earlier today. Athletes raced in various categories including an Olympic Challenge, sprint distance, relay team option and a custom-designed course for kids.

1. Kimberly Pancoast, 28, of Kirkland, 1:58:22 (Pancoast was the top Olympic distance female finisher in the 2011 Triathlon as well)

Over $12,000 Raised For Benaroya Research Institute (BRI)
Several athletes participated in the Benaroya Research Institute "Race in Honor of" program. Participants had the opportunity to support their family members and friends who are battling debilitating autoimmune diseases by raising pledges.  All the funds raised will support autoimmune disease research at BRI, including Type 1 diabetes, multiple sclerosis and arthritis.

Athlete Notes

-If you won an award in your age group and were not present at the ceremony, your award will be mailed to you. 

-If you took your timing chip home with you - please mail it back to Seafair at 2200 Sixth Avenue, Suite 400, Seattle, WA, 98121 so you are not charged.

-Pictures from the event will be posted to Brightroom Photography's website in the next week. 

-You will receive an online survey in the next few days, we appreciate your feedback. 

-The 2013 Benaroya Research Institute Seafair Triathlon will take place on Sunday, July 21.
