Denny's Seafair Milk Carton Derby
Sat., July 14 | 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Green Lake
The 42nd Annual Denny's Seafair Milk Carton Derby will take place on Sat., July 14! Nearly 100 colorful milk carton boats of all shapes and design will compete on the waters of Green Lake for $10,000 in prizes. The Derby is highlighted by a full day of "competition" as children, adults, families and businesses build milk carton watercraft for show and racing. Visit Seafair.com/milkcartonderby for more information.

Scholarship Program for Women Presented by AT&T
Creative Expression & Community Service Presentations
Wed., July 11 | 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
William Allen Theater at the Museum of Flight
This event gives each participant the opportunity to describe her community service interest to the judges and audience during their individual presentation. Presentations will be judged on overall impression, poise and presence, content (sense of knowledge about platform), confidence in delivery, speaking ability, vocabulary/grammar, and observance of time limit.   


Creative Expression provides an opportunity for each participant to develop and display her creativity, self-expression, confidence and projection through performance. Creative Expression (talent) can fall under the categories of dance, vocal, instrumental, monologue, dramatic interpretation and public speaking.

Kent Cornucopia Days - A Seafair Sanctioned Community Event

Kent - Locations Vary By Event
Kent Cornucopia Days is a community service project produced by the Kent Lions & Foundation, an all-volunteer organization and committee. This is a four-day festival that occurs in July of each year with upwards of 300,000 people in attendance.  The festival includes a street fair with hundreds of food (including two huge food courts), commercial and non-commercial vendors;  a community parade; a full size "Funtastic Shows" carnival and midway, continuous entertainment, and numerous educational displays.

Mercer Island Summer Celebration

Summer Celebration is a family festival located in the heart of Mercer Island. Events include live entertainment on two stages, children’s fun zone, boat rides around the island, Fun Run, fireworks, youth 3-on-3 basketball tournament, car show, food vendors, and arts and craft vendors. Each year is a different theme, 2012 is “The Spirit of the Olympics" where participants can expect to meet past Olympians and participate in a variety of fun challenges.


Seattle Chinatown International District Dragon Fest

Hing Hay Park 

Founded nearly four decades ago, the festival has grown to be the Pacific Northwest’s largest annual Asian American celebration. Centered in the heart of Seattle’s historic Chinatown, the Festival alone attracts more than 25,000 people over two days and features a line-up of over 30 cultural performances with everything from the spirited Chinese lion and dragon dances, to captivating martial arts demonstrations and Japanese Taiko drumming. Bounded by the iconic Chinese Gate and beautiful Hing Hay Park, this Seafair Festival brings the streets to life with historic walking tours, a large-scale outdoor Asian market and cultural activities for people of all ages. In addition, this year the Festival will host a $2 Food Walk with many of Chinatown’s 85 restaurants offering up a variety of discounted tastes to give visitors the chance to sample cuisines from around the world, while supporting the neighborhood business community. Dragon Fest will kick off a week-long series of summer celebrations throughout the neighborhood including art & music event, and closing with a Chinatown parade on the following Sunday.


White Center Jubilee Days

White Center
Jubilee Days is a weeklong festival celebrating the rich diversity of the White Center community. It all starts with the highly anticipated Golf Tournament at noon on July 7th and Garden Tour on July 14th.  Wed. is the start of the five-day carnival and larger than life fireworks show.  On Sat., July 21 the festival launches into high gear with its 3rd annual Car Show ’n’ Shine, and the start of the two-day street fair featuring a unique variety of craft, farmer and more than 50 international food vendors, a Kids Center and family-oriented entertainment.  Indulge in refreshments while enjoying the bands on the main stage, and then groove the night away at the street dance Sat. night.  Sun. begins with the annual parade, continues with the second day of the street fair and closes out with headliner music.
