Seafair Pirates Landing
Sat., July 7 - 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Alki Beach
Ahoy, Matey - It's Pirate-Style Party at Alki Beach. The cutthroat Seafair Pirates crew has made a deal with their new Captain Kidd – Lance "Clapeye" English and are comin’ to collect the bounty they left behind last year. Avast, the Seattle Seafair Pirates will sail in from the seven seas and the scallywags be stormin’ Alki Beach in West Seattle to kick off the 63rd Seafair. Don’t be gettin’ in their way! Merchants will be putting out their finest wares starting at around 9:30 a.m. and ye can shop, eat and dance along with the Pirates throughout the day! The Seattle Seafair Pirates will land at Alki Beach between 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. The KMPS 94.1 FM music stage will be there ta welcome ye with music from some o' the finest local bands includin' Texas Flood, Full Metal Jacket and, for the grand finale, The Wages of Sin. Belly dancin' and story tellin' will also take place on the main stage. If they dare, the little buccaneers can try out the inflatable rides for the kids! Later in the day they can be part of a Pirate look-a-like contest to win some booty sponsored by the West Seattle Kiwanis.The Pirates and crowd will be carousing with Seafair royalty. 2011 Miss Seafair Veronica Quintero, the Scholarship Program for Women participants and the West Seattle Hi-Yu princesses will be makin' appearances! Dress in your favorite pirate costume and meet us out on the beach - Ready, Aim, Fire!

Lake Union Wooden Boat Festival - A Seafair Sanctioned Community Event

The 2012 Lake Union Wooden Boat Festival will be the biggest and best the Center for Wooden Boats has held yet. Come ooh and aah over a variety of classic wooden boats, build your very own tiny wooden ship, go for a ride on sail, row, or motor boat and hear a variety of live music throughout the weekend. And, it's all free! On Wednesday, July 4th the festival is teaming up with OneReel to participate in the 24th annual Family Fourth at Lake Union, Presented by Starbucks in Gasworks Park. Live bands will be playing at both parks and a history trivia game designed by the Museum of History and Industry (MOHAI) will take place all along the lakeshore. In the evening, The Lake Union Wooden Boat Festival (including the food vendors and Festival Pub) will remain open up until the fireworks begin.

Seafair at Microsoft Take Your Child to Work Day

Seafair is participating in Microsoft Take Your Child to Work Day! Attendees will have the opportunity to meet 2011 Miss Seafair Veronica Quintero and get their picture taken in front of a vintage hydroplane.
Wallingford Seafair Kiddies Parade & Street Fair Festival - A Seafair Sanctioned Community Event

N 45th St. in Wallingford
Kids of all ages parade along N 45th St in Wallingford to Lincoln High School. The street fair includes lots of food, crafts, live music and kiddies activities such as bouncy houses and pony rides.
Pioneer Square Fire Festival - A Seafair Sanctioned Community Event

Pioneer Square
The Pioneer Square Fire Festival commemorates the re-birth of the Pioneer Square area following the Great Seattle Fire of June 6, 1889 that destroyed most of downtown Seattle and gave rise to the historic Pioneer Square neighborhood.
The Pioneer Square Fire Festival gives attendees of all ages a glimpse into Seattle’s past and features displays by the Last Resort Fire Department, the Seattle Metropolitan Police Museum and the Klondike Gold Rush National Historical Park-Seattle. These displays include antique and classic fire engines, classic police cars, a gold mining demonstration, and other family-friendly activities. Kids can color a picture while sitting in the back of a 1940 fire engine, try on some firefighter turnout gear and say "hi" to Smokey.
