Support the Seafair Foundation
If you've been thinking about giving, or want to be sure your donation goes to a worthy cause that celebrates and rewards cultural diversity, education and community engagement in Greater Seattle, The Seafair Foundation is that cause.
The Seafair Foundation supports educational and community programs such as the High School Ambassador Program, Miss Seafair Scholarship Program for Women, Special Holiday Cruise and Sanctioned Community Events. After just three years, the Seafair Foundation's impact has soared to new heights in developing young leaders, promoting Seattle's amazing cultural events and providing special opportunities to developmentally disabled residents in our region. To see how far we've come, please take a look at our 2011 Annual Report: CLICK HERE.
The key areas we are focusing on and need your help funding are:
. Expanding the Seafair Ambassador Program to include a region-wide Youth Leadership Symposium that reaches 500-1,000 diverse students.
. Creating an education curriculum that teaches the impact of the aviation industry on our region, how it influenced the mechanics of hydroplane racing and how it translates to performance aviation like the Blue Angels. Additionally, the curriculum will showcase Seafair's rich history in the community over the past 60+ years.
. Increasing the scholarship dollars we distribute to Foundation program participants
Your investment is vital to endowing these programs and their positive impact on the community. Seafair has more than 60 years of history providing family-friendly, affordable events to the Seattle area, while supporting the next generation with educational gifts and opportunities. We encourage you to be a part of this important tradition.
