The Cause
A portion of each race entry and 100% of donations from the Benaroya Research Institute Triathlon at Seafair will go to support Type 1 (juvenile) diabetes research. Type 1 diabetes is a devastating disease that affects more than one million Americans-and its incidence is rising. Diabetes is a life-altering condition that can cause disabilities ranging from kidney damage and blindness to strokes and amputation.

I am running in this race to help find a cure for diabetes. Please help me raise awareness and funding for juvenile diabetes by your monetary support as I participate in the 2007 Benaroya Research Institute Triathlon at Seafair."

"Racing in Honor Of"
Support your family members and friends who are battling diabetes. Wear a "Racing in Honor of" writstband for a suggested $10 donation to express your support for a loved one. Wristbands will be available at the Triathlon Exop and at the event. All money raised wil support Type 1 juvenile diabetes research at Benaroya Research Institute at Virginia Mason.
