The Cause
A portion of each race entry and 100% of donations from the Benaroya Research Institute Triathlon at Seafair will go to support Type 1 (juvenile) diabetes research. Type 1 diabetes is a devastating disease that affects more than one million Americans-and its incidence is rising. Diabetes is a life-altering condition that can cause disabilities ranging from kidney damage and blindness to strokes and amputation.

"Racing in Honor Of"
Support your family members and friends who are battling diabetes. Wear a "Racing in Honor of" writstband for a suggested $10 donation to express your support for a loved one. Wristbands will be available at the Triathlon Exop and at the event. All money raised wil support Type 1 juvenile diabetes research at Benaroya Research Institute at Virginia Mason.
