El Vez and $10 tickets!
Seafair is thrilled to offer its third annual Saturday Night concert in Genesee Park, August 2 beginning at 6:45 p.m. and featuring hit sensation, El Vez!
El Vez!, the Latin sensation that is sweeping the nation will explode on the stage Saturday night. the thinking man's Elvis with a Latin twist will bring his one-of-a-kind brand of political commentary and social satire to Genesee Park. He has appeared on the Tonight Show, Oprah, Regis & Kathie Lee and will be at Seafair 2008!
Following the "Jail House Rock" of El Vez!, at 9:45 p.m. the Starfire Air Show Performance featuring pilot Bill Leff will ease Seafair fans from daytime racing and music to nighttime theatrics. Leff dazzles audiences with an airborne fireworks display, pyrotechnic effects and light show completely choreographed to music.
Rounding out the night, Seafair will electrify the evening with a fireworks display over the Unlimited Hydroplane race course. Feel the rumbling and witness the beauty as they illuminate the night sky above Lake Washington.

Seattle rock band, the Boss Martians is hitting the Seafair Main Stage at the Chevrolet Cup & KeyBank Air Show. The band, renown for their gritty Pacific Northwest milieu,will feature a guest appearance from the godfather of punk, Iggy Pop.
Jim Morris
Saturday, August 2, Noon
The unmistakable whimsical island vibe Jim Morris with a splash of Texas will ease the Hydroplane crowd into the island life style...no pressure, no problem. This uniquely Gulf and Western mix has drawn comparisons to Jimmy Buffett and Jerry Jeff Walker and is sure to bring some revelry to the region’s summer celebration.
Mark Pickerel & His Praying Hands
Saturday, August 2, 4 p.m.
Mark Pickerel & His Praying Hands are bringing the dusty flirtatious ghosts of Motown, Tin Pan Alley and classic pop with a hint of soul to the Seafair Main Stage. Music fans might recognize front man Mark Pickerel from his earlier days as the drummer for Nirvana, Screaming Trees while also performing with not-too-shabby peers Neko Case, Brandi Carlile and Mark Lanegan.
The Saturday Knights
Saturday, August 2, 6:45 p.m.
Come catch the rhythms of The Saturday Knights as they weave through bursts of surf guitar and classic rock with storytelling rhymes in sweet barbershop harmonies. The Seafair Main Stage will host this Seattle trio boasting big beats and lighthearted laments as the Opener to El Vez!
Central Services
Saturday, August 2, 2:30 p.m.
Acclaimed Seattle band, Central Services, is bringing their vibrant 70’s inspired pop to Seafair. With lyrics inspired by songwriter Kevin Emerson’s experience as a children’s novelist for Scholastic, the songs will keep kids and kid at heart dancing.
