During one weekend each year, Seafair fans witness captivating sights as the best pilots in the world perform aerobatics over Lake Washington. From Greg Poe flying his fire engine red Ethanol Edge 540 to the U.S. Navy Blue Angels and a fly over by the "hovering" Harrie Jump Jet, the KeyBank Air Show presented by Boeing is the All-Star weekend of air shows.

The U.S. Navy Blue Angels will punctuate the action of the Chevrole Cup and Seafair Weekend (August 1-3) as hundreds of thousands gathered on the shores of Lake Washington will be treated to the adrenaline rush from their refined choreographed maneuvers!

Flying the F/A-18 Hornets, the Blues perform an array of passes exhibiting the refined skills all navel aviators possess. With Mt. Rainier and Lake Washington serving as the stage, the Bllues executed high-speed knife edge passes, the gracefull four-plane diamond formation and other magnificent aerial maneuvers.

The demonstration pilots fly the jets to each show site.
The F/A-18 can reach speeds just under Mach 2, almost twice the speed of sound or about 1,400 MPH.
The only Blue Angel to become an astronaut was CDR Chuck Bradley, Flight Surgeon, 1989-90.

Added to the unforgettable action in the sky, Seafair weekend also provides thrill seekers with the incredible Chevrolet Cup Hydroplane Race, Genesee Park filled with food & festival vendors, wine & beer gardens, prime water viewing, a Saturday night concert and fireworks!

In addition to the Blue Angels, the KeyBank Air Show at Seafair will also feature spectacular civilian and military performers, some new and some returning favorites to astound the Lake Washington audience.
