Seafair, Seattle & the Environment
Building for the Future of the Northwest

Special thanks to Cedar Grove Recycling for their extensive support of Seafair.

Preserving our environment is now front and center. More than ever civic organizations, businesses and local governments have the opportunity to educate and lead the way in creating a cleaner environment for generations of Northwest citizens to enjoy.

The Puget Sound region is known for many things…beautiful scenery wonderful waterways, delicious seafood, friendly people and yes—the rain. At Seafair, our goal has been to bring the Northwest community the best summer entertainment, while at the same time respecting the environment that defines Seafair summertime events.

In 2008, Seafair will continue its best practices, while taking new steps necessary so “that which is good for the family is also good for the environment.” These initiatives range from bike corrals and food composting to education and shuttle buses. The goal is simple…

Please take a moment and review some of the event-specific initiatives Seafair is planning for 2008 and the years to come. Help Seafair, the City of Seattle, King County and Seattle Parks help the environment. Recycle at every Seafair event, pick up educational flyers and learn how everyone can take action against climate-changing pollution.
