SEAFAIR LAUNCHES SATURDAY, JULY 10

The Northwest summer has arrived and with it an action-packed kickoff weekend to Seafair and five weeks full of the best the Pacific Northwest has to offer. From pirates storming the shores of Alki Beach to massive milk carton boats swarming Green Lake…Seafair launches at a fevered pace sure to last until the beautiful “Blue Jets” streak over Lake Washington.

Avast ye scurvy dogs! This be yer warnin’ shot! The cutthroat Seafair Pirates have made a deal with their new Captain Kidd –and are comin’ to reclaim the Seafair Festival!  Watch in delight as the Seafair Pirates swarm Alki Beach for a day full of Seafair Pirate shenanigans.

The merchants will be puttin’ out their finest wares and the day-long festival will be startin’ at around 9:30 a.m. Ye can shop, eat and dance along with the Pirates until 5:30 p.m.! Have your little pirates come dressed fer the show and be one of the first 500 to get yer Pirate Toy Kit!

Pirate’s Booty Milk Carton Derby at Seafair
July 10, Green Lake, 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
It’s Seafair’s largest summer boat race…on Green Lake! Powered by Summer and fueled by fun, nothing says summer in Seattle better than the wacky creativity of the Pirate’s Booty Milk Carton Derby. Over 100 milk carton boats will compete for $10,000 in prizes. Fans can watch the excitement on the lake or take part in the food & entertainment on land.
