Start your Torchlight Saturday at the MetroPCS Seafair Torchlight Spectacular, located at and co- sponsored by the Seattle Center. This year is bigger and better than ever! Guests can explore the fun interactive booths hosted by our sponsors offering prizes, give-aways and free samples. There will be floats on display along Mercer Street. Come get a preview of the Alaska Airlines Seafair Torchlight Parade before the action starts!
The Torchlight Spectacular Entertainment Stage located outside Fisher Pavilion by the Beer Garden will host exciting activities throughout the day! The day will start with a special knighting ceremony followed by Queen Underwood, the First U.S.A. Women's Olympic Boxer, lighting the torch to kick off the day. After that the stage will host a myriad of autograph signing sessions featuring UFC Women's Bantamweight Champion Ronda Rousey, Queen Underwood and the Seafair Princesses.

Meet Queen Underwood, the First U.S.A. Women's Olympic Boxer
Queen Underwood is a 2002 graduate of Garfield High School in Seattle, where she was a three sport athlete in track & field, basketball and cross country. She was also a national and world champion power-lifter in her 16-17 year age group. Queen began boxing in Seattle gyms in 2001 and went on to become a six-time national boxing champion from 2007 thru 2012; a 2010 bronze medalist at the World Games in Barbados; and a gold medalist at the 2012 USA Olympic Trials in Spokane, WA. She has been a frequent medalist in international competition, boxing in Ecuador, Canada, China, Ireland, Venezuela, Trinidad and Barbados, and other countries. As a member of the 2012 US Olympic Team at the London Olympic Games, Queen Underwood made sports history by becoming the first American woman to compete in an Olympic boxing match. She will be signing autographs at the Torchlight Spectacular entertainment stage outside Fisher Pavilion at 5:30 p.m.!
Meet Ronda Rousey, Current UFC Women's Bantamweight Champion!
Ronda Rousey is an American mixed martial artist and judoka. She is the first and current UFC Women's Bantamweight Champion, as well as the former Strikeforce Women's Bantamweight Champion. She has finished all of her opponents by armbar in the first round. Rousey became the first American woman to earn an Olympic medal in Judo at the Summer Olympics in Beijing in 2008. She will be signing autographs at the Torchlight Spectacular entertainment stage outside Fisher Pavilion at 2:30 p.m.!
Meet the Seafair Princesses!
The Seafair Scholarship Program for Women rewards academic ambition, celebrates diversity and showcases future leaders. During the eight-week program, participants have honed their public speaking skills, creative expression and confidence. Community service involvement and philanthropy are also required elements. All participants are recognized with scholarship awards to support their educational tuition, and one is awarded the title of Miss Seafair who represents Seafair at events and appearances. Don't miss the crowning of Miss Seafair 2013 at the Westlake Center TV Zone at 7:30 p.m.! The Princesses will be signing autographs at the Torchlight Spectacular entertainment stage outside Fisher Pavilion at 3:30 p.m.!
